Progression from your Advanced Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3

With your Advanced Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 qualification progression into higher education is a route you may wish to consider, now or in the future.

Higher education can provide a way of developing your work-based skills and knowledge, giving you more of a challenge in your job-role, and it can help you enhance your career aspirations in the often fast-changing world of work.

Many people think of higher education as a full-time commitment, something you do before you move into employment. But higher education opportunities offers here are mostly part-time, with relevant work-related and work-based learning focus. This means they offer a natural progression from your Advanced Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3.

What is a progression agreement?

It outlines the range of higher education progression routes that you can take from your Advanced Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3, and in most instances the agreement will guarantee you progression on to an appropriate higher education award if you have met certain entry criteria such as passing your level 3 qualification.

Primary Aims

The primary aim of this progression agreement is to promote progression of vocational leaner’s undertaking a range of NVQ level 3 and Advanced Apprenticeship qualifications as set out in part 2 of this agreement into higher education at Staffordshire University and Staffordshire University regional Federation Colleges.
