During February, SBC Training with Shropshire Partners in Care and Black Country Partnership for Care are offering opportunities for people to test out aspects of Health and Social care. Events will be very informal and people can drop in to find out about caring for the disabled, caring for the elderly and caring for people with learning disabilities. Fun activities will include moving a wheelchair safely round an obstacle course, using ultraviolet light to evaluate effective hand washing, learning Makaton sign language and CPR.
People can book in to a morning or afternoon session and try out as many activities as they want. Experts will also be on hand to talk about local job and training opportunities in Health and Social Care which is one of the fastest growing occupational areas.
Events will be held in Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Telford and Shrewsbury. To find out more or to book in, telephone Amanda on 01902 551083 (for Black Country) or Emma on 01743 454810 (for Telford and Shrewsbury)
