NVQs are work related, competence based qualifications. They reflect the skills
and knowledge needed to do a job effectively, and show that a candidate is competent
in the area of work the NVQ represents.
We offer NVQs in a wide range of occupational areas and levels:
First we ensure that job roles are suitable for both the learner and employer and
give information, advice and guidance to ensure the correct options are chosen before
undertaking the qualification. Our assessors then visit learners in the work place;
coaching, supporting and mentoring them through the NVQ process. Workshops are also
offered to support the development of skills and knowledge.
Depending on Employee eligibility, NVQ qualifications are funded by the LSC through
