Apprentices will learn in a blended format which includes online, anytime access learning expert-led classroom training in core topics. Apprentices will have the opportunity to gain internationally recognised certifications from vendors such as City and Guilds.

The Marketer Apprenticeship programme is suitable for new entrants and early professionals. Our programme focusses on supporting the learner and the organisation to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer engagement and retention.

What's Involved

Apprentices will gain experience in social media marketing, corporate branding, market segmentation and marketing strategy. The Apprentice will need to complete the following to gain apprenticeship certification:

Delivery

Following enrolment, learners engage in a blended programme of training and support that will include attendance at group training sessions, self-directed learning, email and face-to-face support from their trainer/assessor as well as a programme of training devised by the employer.

The end-point assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship. Including a work-based project and presentation with questioning, and a professional discussion supported by portfolio evidence. 

Modules that will be delivered in the training are Principles of Online and Offline Marketing, Digital Marketing Business Principles, Fundamentals of Digital Marketing and Campaign Management.

The length of the programme will differ depending on experience, knowledge and skills development but the course should usually take 15 – 18 months.

Progression

Avenues of progression for successful apprentices include a clear pathway for career progression within the digital marketing industry ranging from website developers to digital marketing managers.

Apprenticeship wages are paid by the employer. They should reflect that the apprentice is in training and must meet the National Minimum Wage for Apprentices. For apprentices over the age of 19, their wages must meet the National Minimum Wage for their age group after their first year as an apprentice (if the programme is longer than 12 months).
