What's Involved
The apprentice will complete the Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing alongside a portfolio of evidence through a blended learning model which will enable preparation for end-point assessment which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours modules:
Learners will have set criteria to meet in each area whilst on programme. This will be guided by the trainer and supported by the employer.
Functional Skills in maths and English:
These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. Learners will complete written and online tests.
End-point assessment:
The end-point assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship and takes place on the learner has achieved the Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing. It comprises either an obersavtion or a professional discussion.
Delivery
Following enrollment, learners engage in a blended programme of training and support that will include attendance at group training sessions on a day release (or block release) basis, work-based learning, email and face-to-face support from their trainer/assessor as well as a programme of training devised by the employer.
The length of the programme will differ depending on experience, knowledge and skills development along with the industry skills selected however the course is targeted for completion within 13 months.

- Further learning in Manufacturing (Level 3 and above)
- Employment opportunities and career progression
