Apprentice Keith helps win award for his organisation 2 Sisters Food Group
The 2 Sisters Group is a leading UK food company which, with thousands of employees across the UK and Europe is truly proud of the role it plays in helping to feed the nation. From chicken to curries, from pizzas to potato dishes – they are on a mission to deliver great quality and innovative meal ideas.
That innovation is encouraged amongst employees with the opportunity to submit new ideas which can result in financial rewards to their particular factory. Keith Wilson who is a second-year apprentice at SBC Training and working with the engineering maintenance team at Wolverhampton site E came up with an idea to add an automatic cleaning process to belts which carry product round the factory. It was trialled and was so successful that Keith’s boss submitted it to head office for recognition. It resulted in the award of £10.000 to be used at Wolverhampton site E.
Keith who is following the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship with SBC Training, and the team at Wolverhampton site E were over the moon with the Award but also with the added efficiency which the new process has brought.
Well done Keith!
