This course is for those who are currently working in, are about to commence working in or want to prepare for a role in supporting individuals who are approaching their end of life.
This may include health, residential, domiciliary and palliative care provisions. You will learn about the various aspects of end of life care, communication, managing discomfort and supporting individuals with loss.

What's Involved
The Level 2 Award in End of Life Care requires the achievement of the following 3 units:
- Understand how to work in end of provisions
- Understand how to provide support when working in end of life care
- Understand how to support individuals during last days of life
Delivery
Learners will attend four full day or eight half day workshops. Learners should be prepared to undertake some private study between workshops. There will be on going knowledge assessments integrated in to the course.

Progression
This qualification could enable you to progress onto a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Costs
The course fees are £168 (+VAT) per person.
This course is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is free to Shropshire employees.
