What's Involved
Sessions will cover a variety of topics including:
- Provision of first aid to individuals who are choking
- CPR
- Dealing with external bleeding
- Provision of first aid to deal with minor injuries
Delivery
This award is delivered using classroom based teaching which involves a mixture of theoretical and practical work. The qualification is assessed by using a mixture of practical demonstrations, verbal questions and written activities. All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification.
Progression
Avenues of progression include:
- Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
- Specialised qualifications that focus on particular areas of First Aid
Costs
