What's Involved
The course covers:
Day 1: Autodesk Inventor Essentials
•Opening and setting up projects
•Creating a model and selecting sketch planes
•2D sketching with tools like lines, circles, arcs, rectangles, and construction lines
•Basic 3D modelling using extrusions, revolves, sweeps, lofts, coils, holes, fillets, chamfers, shells, and threads
•Understanding planes and axes
•Orienting and refining a model for clarity and precision
Day 2: Advanced CAD Techniques
•Assemblies: placing parts, constraints, patterns
•Sheet Metal: defaults, flanges, bends, folds, and flat patterns
•Frame Generator: building structural frames
•CAD: creating a box section frame and machining programs
•Technical Drawings: adding views, dimensions, tolerances, hole tables, and revision boxes
Delivery
Delivery will take place over 2 days on 4 and 11 November.
Costs
The course fees are £300 (+VAT) per person.
Your place on this course could be fully funded through the UKSPF Shropshire Skills Hub Project (Funded by UK Government) if you reside in the Shropshire Council local authority area and are in employment (anywhere).
