Kew Accountants – ‘apprenticeships totally work for us’

Kew Accountants in Telford has already trained 6 of the team through the apprenticeship route with one now appointed as Deputy Manager. The organisation is continuing the expansion with Zara Speight who joined the practice in March and Ben Crawford who is the newest recruit.

Karen Whitehead, Director of Kew Accountants said “Apprenticeships totally work for us. We can train the apprentices to our own standard.  We find that they are keen and loyal and staff retention amongst staff who have trained through apprenticeships is much higher.

Ben is really pleased to have secured the role. He commented “I decided to get an apprenticeship because I have completed my first year in college doing my Level 2 Accounting and Business and I would like to carry on to Level 3 but would like to earn as I’m learning rather than going to university.

“I have found the process of applying for an apprenticeship easy thanks to SBC Training.

“SBC Training has been very helpful with applying for apprenticeships because they have kept me on file and I have been notified of any accounting role that would be suitable for me.

“I am now looking forward to becoming a fully qualified accountant.”
