New ICT Training Facility in Shropshire

SBC Training has upgraded and extended its ICT Training facility to respond to the future needs of local businesses.

The organisation, which is the longest established Shropshire training provider, has extended its range of apprenticeships to include Network Engineer, Infrastructure Technician, IT Support and Digital Marketer.  Comp CIA qualifications are being offered as well as a suite of qualifications through CIW and the organisation has been approved as a Pearson Vue authorised test centre.

The first group of apprentices, pictured with the course tutor, is celebrating successful completion of their Comp CIA qualifications and they are well on target to become qualified Infrastructure Technicians in a year’s time.

Foundation courses in ICT usage and qualifications such as level 2 IT Professional are also still on offer.

Colin Thaw, managing director of SBC Training commented, ‘ICT and digital is now so important in all sectors of industry and commerce and when talking to our clients we recognised a need for this range of apprenticeships and courses. These young people have been recruited in to a range of sectors including hospital, legal compliance, recruitment and hospitality systems and are already making significant contributions to supporting their organisations. In keeping pace with the needs of the 21st century, organisations need to embrace the digital world to enhance efficiency and profitability and at SBC Training we are proud to be making a contribution towards the economic development of the area.’

The organisation which has been providing high quality training for more than 35 years, is also recognised for engineering/manufacturing, administration and management training. It  is rated highly for employer satisfaction and has success rates consistently above national average.

Enrolment is now underway for the next two scheduled courses for Infrastructure Technician and Digital Marketer and SBC Training looks forward to hearing from employers and young people who would like to benefit from this new facility.
