The Apprenticeship Service: Creating your account
Before you can get started with apprenticeships, you’ll need an Apprenticeship Service account. This is where you’ll manage funding, approve apprentices, and keep track of your training.
At SBC Training, we can guide you through this process, or even help set it up for you.
What you’ll need:
To create your account, make sure you have:
- An email address you’d like to use for the account
- Your organisation’s PAYE reference
- Your Accounts Office reference
These details are used to confirm your organisation with HMRC.
Creating your account
You have two options:
1. Set it up yourself
You can create your account directly through the government service here:
You’ll be asked to sign a legally binding employer agreement. This allows you to access apprenticeship funding, so make sure the person completing this step has the authority to do so within your organisation.
2. Ask SBC Training to help
If you’d prefer, we can support you with the setup. We’ll sert up a meeting and guide you through the process step by step.
Once we’ve started the setup, you’ll receive an email with a secure link. You’ll need to confirm your details to activate the account.
Already have an account?
If someone in your organisation has already set up an Apprenticeship Service account, you don’t need to create a new one.
Instead, the account owner can add you to it. You’ll receive an email invitation and can sign in using a GOV.UK One Login.
If you’re unsure who manages your organisation’s account, SBC Training can help you work this out.
