Celebrating Michael's Apprenticeship Distinction Achievement!
We are celebrating Michael’s apprenticeship achievement!
Congratulations to Michael Carter who has completed his Property Maintenance Apprenticeship with flying colours, achieving a distinction. Michael is employed by local company PaveAways where he has gained valuable experience.
We are incredibly proud, well done Michael!
Michael's trainer Stuart Reynolds had this to say:
"Michael has done briliantly well, we are so proud of him. He has been a joy to have in the construction training centre and a credit to his employer."
Michael's employer Sabrina Davies spoke about his success:
'Michael marked the start of our SBC Training apprenticeship pathway, joining us as the very first apprentice through the route. After completing his initial skills test with SBC Training and a trial day with our team, he threw himself into learning — even volunteering his skills to help renovate Oswestry Memorial Hall. With support from SBC Training and mentoring from Steve Nurse and the wider Pave Aways team. Michael built a broad skillset across carpentry, bricklaying, plastering, plumbing, tiling, and electrical work.
All that hard work paid off… he’s now passed his End Point Assessment with a Distinction! His success has helped shape a brilliant apprenticeship pathway between Pave Aways and SBC Training — and six more apprentices have since followed in his footsteps.
Huge congratulations, Michael - and here’s to many more successes through this SBC Training pathway.'
Michael said this about his apprenticeship achievement:
‘My time with SBC Training has been brilliant and my trainer has been incredibly supportive. I was thrilled to achieve a distinction and be offered a permanent position by Pave Aways. I am very happy to be gathering more experience as I really enjoy my current work and am always looking to become even better.’
Michael would like to progress on to develop specialist plastering skills and we wish him well as his career progresses.
